Shmil has been the vibrant and dedicated Executive Director of the Keren Efrat Foundation (the Development Department in the Efrat Municipality) since October 2015. Shmil works directly under the mayor of Efrat, Mr Oded Revivi, as his Personal Envoy. Prior to his work at the Keren Efrat, Shmil worked for many years at the Jewish Agency for Israel, working with different communities around the world, writing educational programs, preparing emissaries and running seminars and camps. From 2002 to 2007 Shmil served as the associate to the Rabbi and Director of Education at the Central Synagogue, Sydney. Shmil studied for six years at the prestigious Yeshivah Har Etzion and received a BA in Political Science and an MA in Management and Public Policy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
