Angela Zinn

Angela was born in Israel to a pair of Olim from South Africa and Germany and moved to Australia when she was 16. She had the privilege of sharing her childhood with five siblings (who taught her a lot about compromise, love and family) and a pair of daring, critical and hilarious parents (a combination she finds endearing to this day). She is passionate about challenging the status quo, the (careful) managing and supporting of change, and critical evaluation of situations. Ange believes empathy and thoughtful care are blessings and invaluable tools we use when managing people and situations and she tries to remember this when faced with particularly difficult versions of both. Ange has spent the past 12 years involved in community development and work, inside and outside the Jewish community. She became an involved volunteer with Limmud Sydney and currently chairs the Limmud Board. In her personal life she works for UTS as a project manager and has been involved in a number of international start-ups (Israeli ones!) that deal with agricultural management in third world countries—a project that came her way while writing her thesis on corruption in Cambodia.
